The Disco-Techy-House sound of Volta Bureau is on its way up the ladder of popularity as the group takes their first steps along the path to the limelight in 2012. The D.C. based group is comprised of three extremely talented musicians who are unique and diverse individually, but couldn’t be more in sync when collaborating. Will Eastman, Miguel Lacsamana AKA Micha Vellian and Bernard Farley AKA Outputmessage manipulate a House Music base by introducing an extraterrestrial, disco-techy styling to produce a sound unlike most others in the electronic music game.
The group made waves in 2011 with the release of Alley Cat which has held a steady place on Beatport’s Indie Dance Chart for the last 11 weeks. More impressive than that, the track plateaued at number 20 on Beatport’s top 100 overall.
As 2012 gets going, so too will Volta Bureau. According to an interview with Beatport, the group promises a number of remixes in the coming future. Based on the fact that they are picking up speed, one can also confidently speculate that the group will be releasing a number of new tracks over the course of the year.
As for touring, that is yet to be determined. Volta Bureau essentially calls U Street Music Hall, a popular D.C. music venue co-owned by Will Eastman, home. They also play shows throughout the district and will expand their influence as their popularity grows.
Keep an eye out for Volta Bureau throughout the year. The group packs great promise and their collective talent is too special to fail.
