Coming off the World War III tour supporting Hollywood Undead and Asking Alexandria, dubstep’s emerging badassBORGORE is looking to further invade the U.S.A. with his mastermind tracks on his round of solo dates coming up. Launching November 22 in Knoxville, TN, he’ll take his hard-hitting beats on a month-long trek through middle America.
Asaf Borger, aka BORGORE, has unquestionably become a household name for those who follow the ever-growing dubstep sound. Taking a different turn from the main stages and social circles of the genre emerging out of Europe,BORGORE has a huge online presence using many social network platforms. As a pianist, saxophone extraordinaire, deathmetal drummer and beat boxer (working alongside Tomba on their live beatbox group, which later became dubstep group Amp), BORGORE is not just your average party rocker. He conquers a diverse music spectrum.
He started producing dubstep in 2007, and with very little recognition from the then-niche audience, BORGORE quickly established himself with his unique sound and style. He quickly started to fly around the world from gig to gig, shortly realizing every performance was having a huge impact. BORGORE quickly developed unique characteristics to his performance. Whether crowd surfing or mosh pitting with his fans, the charismatic performer brought over his years of experience in a band to the dubstep stage.
With over 20 million views on YouTube, which include his videos for “Nympho” and Passion Pit’s “Sleepyhead” remix, and being featured on soundtracks for TV shows such as U.K. hit show “Skins,” he now runs his own record label Buygoreand has featured releases and remixes for many well-known international artists. BORGORE goes from strength to strength and has only just scratched the surface. His full-length EP The Filthiest Hits…So Far is out now. Look for his new artist album to be released in spring of 2012.
Dub & Stuff interviewed Borgore when he was still on the small side of being a worldly known artist. We asked him from where he gets his inspiration to produce the music he does. He responded:
“I’m struggling to answer this question because there are some things that are above human perception. If I knew why I am so f****d I would have fixed it somehow but all I come up with is crazy lyrics and crazier bass lines. I don’t know why music makes me cry or laugh, it just does. I love music, it heals me, it clears my head. Music is my inspiration to do music.”
Borgore kicks off his tour in Knoxville, TN at the Valarium. Check out the full list of tour dates below.

Passion Pit – Sleepy Head (Boregore Mix)

So sick, I saw him at EDC 2011 in Vegas and he murdered it. I wonder if he’s doing any NYE shows. I’d love to see him come up to Tahoe to play at SnowGlobe.
