A lot has been said about how mainstream and commercial David Guetta has become, but the fact of the matter is that he still has some unmatchable talent, and maintains the ability to produce some fantastic tracks. As for the commercialization of EDM – look around! EDM was once a niche genre, but over the years, its popularity has SKYROCKETED. It’s not the techno of the late 80’s and early 90’s that some people loved and others were afraid to admit they loved. It’s different now; people go to clubs on the reg, they travel hundreds of miles to experience festivals; and some idolize artists that live “fantasy lives” traveling the globe to MC and DJ parties of unprecedented nature. EDM music has evolved and will continue to evolve, but the beautiful thing is that with the constant emergence of fresh styles, it will always maintain that indie/underground kind of feel. Hate him or love him, this is a sick track – it’s on my playlist, and I will enjoy it.
